As an interior designer, I've had the pleasure of working with clients who have a deep affection for the 80s. The decade's bold colors, statement furniture, and eclectic decor have made it a staple in many people's hearts. In this blog post, I'll share my perspective on designing an 80s-inspired apartment, from window treatments to smart home technology.

One of my favorite design elements in this apartment is the use of window treatments. We opted for floor-to-ceiling curtains in a vibrant orange hue, which adds a pop of color and creates a cozy atmosphere. To balance out the boldness of the curtains, we chose a neutral paint color for the walls, which provides a clean backdrop for the rest of the design.


When it comes to furniture, the 80s are all about making a statement. We selected a few key pieces, including a sleek, low-profile sofa in a bold red color and a pair of oversized, curved armchairs. To add some texture and depth to the space, we incorporated a mix of patterns and materials, including velvet, linen, and wood.
