kelly interior designer: An Interior Designer's Perspective
As an interior designer, I've had the pleasure of working with numerous clients, each with their unique style and preferences. One of my favorite projects was with the lovely Kelly, who entrusted me with transforming her home into a stunning space that reflected her personality. In this blog post, I'll share my perspective on working with Kelly and the design elements that made her home truly special.
Interior Designer Takes on Kelly Interior Designer
When Kelly first contacted me, she was looking for a fresh start in her living room. The space was feeling dark and cluttered, and she wanted to create a brighter, more inviting atmosphere. We began by selecting a paint color that would brighten up the room and make it feel more spacious. I recommended a soft, creamy white that would provide a clean canvas for her furniture and decor.
Next, we tackled the furniture. Kelly had a mix of modern and traditional pieces, but she wanted to create a cohesive look. We decided to focus on modern furniture with clean lines and a minimalist aesthetic. This would provide a sleek, sophisticated backdrop for her decor. We also incorporated custom cabinetry to add a touch of elegance and create additional storage.
One of the most exciting aspects of this project was incorporating window treatments. Kelly had large windows that let in an abundance of natural light, but she wanted to add some texture and interest to the space. We chose a combination of roller shades and plantation shutters to provide both functionality and visual appeal.
As we continued to work on the design, Kelly expressed her interest in Scandinavian minimalism, a trend that emphasizes simplicity and functionality. We incorporated this aesthetic by using a limited color palette, adding industrial design elements, and incorporating sustainable design principles. This not only created a cohesive look but also made the space feel more modern and sophisticated.
Now, I'd love to share some of Kelly's favorite design elements with you! If you're looking to create a similar look in your own home, be sure to contact me for a consultation and start crafting your dream space within the next two weeks. You can reach me at insert contact information.

One of the most significant challenges we faced was creating a functional and beautiful kitchen. Kelly wanted a space that would be perfect for cooking and entertaining, but she also wanted it to feel modern and sleek. We decided to incorporate smart home technology to make the space more efficient and convenient. This included installing smart appliances and a smart lighting system that could be controlled remotely.
As we worked on the kitchen, Kelly also expressed her interest in sustainable design. We incorporated eco-friendly materials and practices throughout the space, including recycled glass countertops and low-VOC paint. This not only created a healthier living environment but also reduced the space's carbon footprint.

One of the most exciting aspects of this project was incorporating lighting fixtures. Kelly wanted to create a warm and inviting atmosphere in her bedroom, so we chose a combination of table lamps and floor lamps to provide soft, warm lighting. We also incorporated smart lighting technology to make the space more efficient and convenient.
As we continued to work on the design, Kelly expressed her interest in Feng shui principles. We incorporated these principles by placing furniture in a way that created a sense of flow and harmony in the space. This not only created a more peaceful atmosphere but also improved the overall functionality of the room.
