When a malfunctioning refrigerator filter caused a major leak—leading to extensive water damage in the dark, dated bathroom on the other side of the kitchen wall—my client decided it was time to create the spa-like retreat she had always envisioned. We kept the basic footprint but transformed every surface. The new bathroom features a pebble stone shower floor, soft blue shower tile walls, and a custom natural oak vanity designed to maximize space. A palette of soft blues, natural textures, and unlacquered brass accents in the plumbing and cabinet hardware gives the room warmth and understated elegance. The result is a serene, light-filled sanctuary that feels fresh, timeless, and deeply personal—proof that even an unexpected disaster can lead to something beautiful.
