I develop a site-specific color palette that responds to the neighborhood’s natural light and terrain: soft greens and warm neutrals for Lindenwood’s shaded woodlands, crisp whites and muted grays for the more open lots of West Atherton, or earthy tones that complement the area’s Mediterranean-inspired yet climate-adapted homes. Materials are chosen with intention, reclaimed wood for built-ins that honor the region’s craft traditions, or natural stone that bridges indoor and outdoor living. Functionality drives every decision, from hidden storage for entertainers to flexible spaces that adapt to daily life, all while maintaining the home’s unassuming exterior presence. Privacy is prioritized through thoughtful landscaping, discreet lighting, and outdoor rooms that feel like natural extensions of the indoors, ensuring the home remains a serene retreat amid the Peninsula’s exclusivity.

What distinguishes Atherton’s design aesthetic is its rejection of both the flashy excesses of Silicon Valley renovations and the casual informality of the North Bay.
