For Mace Ranch and Wildhorse, where contemporary aesthetics prevail, I focus on clean lines, neutral bases with accent colors inspired by the valley’s earthy tones (deep greens, warm terracotta, or muted blues), and smart storage that maximizes space in these often high-density layouts. Outdoor living is a priority, whether through a covered patio with built-in cooking and storage in Wildhorse or a private courtyard with a fire pit in El Macero, ensuring the home extends into the valley’s pleasant climate year-round. Given Davis’s eco-conscious homeowners, I specify sustainable materials like reclaimed wood, locally quarried stone, and energy-efficient systems, all while maintaining the area’s signature understated elegance.
