In homes like those in Green Valley, where views of golf courses or open spaces are prized, I often incorporate layered window treatments, sheer drapes for soft light and blackout shades for glare control, while ensuring they can be fully opened to invite breezes. Built-in seating and storage solutions help maintain a clean, uncluttered look, while material choices like locally sourced travertine, warm-toned hardwoods, and muted earthy palettes keep interiors feeling grounded and harmonious with the surroundings. Outdoor living is a key consideration, with covered patios, shaded seating areas, and even outdoor kitchens designed to extend usability into the cooler evenings, though these spaces are often more sheltered than in coastal areas to account for the region’s heat.
