For hillside properties in Montalvo or Saratoga Hills, the priority shifts to *harmonious flow*, ensuring spaces feel cohesive even when carved into the landscape. I emphasize sightlines to leverage views, use durable materials like reclaimed stone or locally quarried travertine that withstand the area’s seasonal shifts, and incorporate lighting that enhances the interplay of light and shadow across the terrain. Whether in the flatlands or the hills, I aim to create a *sense of arrival*—whether through a custom entry console that nods to the home’s history or a powder room mirror that subtly frames the surrounding hills.
